{Blog Tour / $25 #GIVEAWAY} Felicity and the Featherless Two-Foot by Loralee Evans

Felicity (1)

Felicity 2Felicity and the Featherless Two-Foot by Loralee Evans
Felicity hasn’t had an adventure in months, and the little sparrow thinks that dangerous quests are behind her for good. Which is just fine with her! She would rather hang out with her friends the fairies, and read her books safe at home than go on scary adventures! But Felicity didn’t count on one group of strangers showing up that cause more trouble than she ever imagined they could! A strange, troublesome bunch that the fairies call… people.

“There are also many American Indian tribes who have similar stories,” Mister Yellow Horse continued.  “The Shoshone, for example, believed in the Nimerigar.  The Utes, in the Meepu Noochoo.  The Choctaw, in tiny people called the Kwanokasha.  The Ojibway in the Memegwesi.  And if I’m not mistaken, native Hawaiians believed in a race of little people called the Menehune.”
“Were any of them…” Davy’s lips twisted.  “I mean, what size were they?  The tiny people?”
Mister Yellow Horse’s hand went to his jaw, and his expression grew thoughtful.  “It depends on who told the story, and which tribe.  Most often the little people in these different stories stood between a foot tall, and hobbit-sized.”
“Oh.”  Davy’s hand patted his jacket pocket.  “So none of them were small enough to, like, ride a bird?  Like we can ride horses?”
Mister Yellow Horse’s brow furrowed.  “What size of bird?  A large bird like an eagle, or…”
“Like that bird?” asked Matthew.
Felicity’s gaze darted to him, and her eyes widened.
The boy pointed right at her, pinching his last piece of granola bar between his fingers.  Everyone else followed his hand, turning their eyes on her.
